Jonathan Edward Strock was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, June 24, 1969 to Delia and Joseph Strock. He grew up in a small trailer park in Louisville till he was old enough to attend Christian schools in Knoxville and Maryville. In 1977 the Strock Family set out to see the country in a 69 Chevy van. They traveled to Texas, California, Montana, Mount Rushmore, Washington DC and New York City. Jonathan even went to Disney World once. He survived a car crash that put his mother in a coma for
weeks, and being thrown from a horse that same year.
Jonathan shipped off to a Christian boarding school in 1985 where he graduated in 1988. Jonathan studied video production, graduating with an associate’s degree in 1994. He also served in the Army during Desert Storm, then worked as a Camera Operator and Roadie in Knoxville during the 90’s for Prince, Garth Brooks, Kiss and Alanis Morrissette.
After 9/11 Jonathan spent 10 more years in the service of his country deploying 4 more times to Iraq and Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division, until 2011 when he joined the ranks of America’s disabled veterans. He earned another associate’s degree from APSU and
continued to work as a Roadie for Lionel Richie, The Eagles and the Foo Fighters.
Jonathan currently serves on a worship team as guitarist, vocalist and occasionally bass and audio and video support at the Faith Outreach North at 1235 Northfield Drive in Clarksville, Tennessee, and works for the MWR at Fort Campbell, Ky.
